• Smokeless coal: at least once a year.
• Gas fires with a chimney: the chimney should still be inspected and, swept prior to a new installation and periodically, even though gas produces far less soot. Our Gas Safe engineers servicing the fire may recommend sweeping if they find debris, bird nests, or signs of blockage.
